Has anyone recently graduated with an engineering degree ?
If so you may want to consider applying for a Recognised Graduate (Temporary) Visa - Subclass 476. You can live and work in Australia for up to 18 months on the 476 visa.
Better than the Working Holiday Visa as it has the 476 has no work restrictions !
You need to have completed your engineering degree within the last two years and you must have attended a "recognised university" to be eligible.
The 476 visa allows recent graduates from particular overseas universities to gain valuable work and life experience in Australia.
While in Australia on this visa , you can also submit other visa applications for further temporary or permanent residence
Send us your college , degree and country details , we’ll let you know if you are eligible

Has anyone lodged a 457 visa application to work in Australia prior to 1st July and waiting on an answer from Immigration?
On 1st July, the minimum market salary or TSMIT accepted for 457 visa applications went up from $51,400 to $53,900.
Anyone with a lodged 457 nomination with a salary lower than the new TSMIT is likely to get a letter from immigration asking for ‘further information’ on the market salary.
